EFFORT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalms 107:1 NIV

The Effort United Methodist Church is blessed to be hosting our 6th Annual Community Thanksgiving Feast.

If you find that you may be home alone this Thanksgiving, please come and join us in this day of thanks, fellowship and of course food, lots of food.

Maybe you are not quite able to provide a full feast for your loved ones, come and join us and share what the Lord has blessed us with. We invite you to join our family to share in our feast and friendship.

Fellowship Hour with light Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 2 PM, followed by opening prayer, traditional Thanksgiving feast, dessert and closing devotions. We have a kids corner set-up with games and activities and we also have a TV set-up to watch the parade or the game of the day. Let His house be your home for the afternoon.

Seating is available for 100 people by reservations only. To make reservations, please call the church office at (570)-629-1890. We welcome any and all to join our family on this day of Thanksgiving.

Quotes from last year:
“We are thankful for people like you who take time out of their Thanksgiving Day to do this wonderful dinner for people who have no one or just want to be with people. God Bless all of you.”

“I’m thankful for the wisdom of the people who have recognized the need for this community dinner and their generosity that has made it possible. Thank you.”
